Ryan Wood

Ryan Wood became a Musical Advisor for Loud Applause Rising Stars (LARS) in early 2023.

Ryan is a well-respected musician and pianist in South Wales, a highly-skilled accompanist, choral conductor and choral arranger.  Ryan is the Musical Director of both Noteworthy Mixed Choir and Bridgend Male Choir. He is also Deputy Musical Director of Treorchy Male Choir.

As an accompanist, Ryan has worked with many well-known singers in the world of opera and musical theatre. Some of these include Rebecca Evans, Sir Willard White, John Owen-Jones, Sophie Evans, Gary Griffiths, Trystan Llŷr Griffiths, Beverley Humphreys, Angharad Morgan and Rhys Meirion. He is also accompanist to Grammy Award-Winning choir, Only Men Aloud! Ryan regularly adjudicates in competitions such as the Rotary Young Musician Competition and is the Official Accompanist for the Dunraven Young Singer Competition.

Ryan brings a wealth of musical experience to the LARS team.
